This is one of the concept pics delivered in the original pitch. The pitch was based on a concept I came up with for the previous class, it was just too good for me to not try to throw in for candidacy for our Final Project.

The Floating Isles

This was a game concept I came up with during one of the final courses at Full Sail University. As students get close to completion of the degree program their last few months consist of working on a single game with a team. That game is one that is created by a fellow student at the same stage of the degree program.

All of the students entering the Research and Marketing course are required to present a game concept, of the 20+ concepts that are submitted each month the Full Sail faculty chooses the ones that they think are the best suited for the final project for students.

My concept: The Floating Isles was one of the 5 selected and my team elected to make it even before I had a chance to tell them why I thought we should. I'm incredibly excited, and just a little terrified, about making a game, even if it is just a student project, that was my original concept. I'm also greatful for the opportunity to make it.
Now I just hope that we are able to do it justice. I cannot say that I have any real concerns there though as I have a wonderful team to work with, and I'm sure that we will deliver a high quality game even within this limited timefram.

An early run through.

A pre-alpha build

I'm happy, and just a touch terrified, to present a playable pre-alpha build. There isn't a whole lot to do of course, but the jist of the core mechanics are present and working. While alot of world needs to be built and a lot of pretty needs to be added, it certainly has begun to feel like it is becoming something.

Just a quick run through to demo some of the core mechanics we are working on getting into our game.

Just a few weeks further along, though some of that may not be so apparent just by looking. Many bugs have been ferreted out and many features are now working as intended (or closer to as intended).

Alpha build

Here's the build that was submitted for our final grade in final project 3. The final grade from the Game Design B.S. program at Full Sail. We had a final grade of 92%, not bad but still alot of work to be done, and a lot of learning to do before I'd call it "done".

Anyway, feel free to grab it and check it out (The readme contains controls and things):

Beta(ish) Build

Running around in a more recent build, right around the beta(ish) build that was delivered for class.

Just running through.
